Young Volunteer Testimonial

This past summer, I had the great opportunity to volunteer in my community, and it has transformed my perspective on leadership and service. Stepping into a leadership role was both challenging and rewarding. I found myself enjoying the responsibility and the chance to guide and inspire others, and I would absolutely love the opportunity to do it again. Throughout the experience, I felt that my feedback was valued, and the team genuinely listened to my ideas. I chose to volunteer because I wanted to make a positive impact on the young people in our community. Connecting with them was one of the most fulfilling aspects of my experience.  The joy of serving and mentoring them deepened my own understanding of community and collaboration. Overall, this summer was a period of growth for me. It reinforced my commitment to serving others and instilled a desire to pursue leadership roles in the future. I am grateful for the experience and look forward to applying what I learned in the future.

Hello first off I would like to thank everyone responsible for every weekly activity I have 3 black boys two which attended the club and my daughter indya, nephew demarco and nephew James… raising black boys is hard as it is especially with very little or no support… each one of these boys have literally had something to look forward to every Monday and this has been it,them coming to club… I not only speak on my behave but also in behalf of James and demarcos father and mother, we as parents have so much stress with out day to day traumas, some of us literally hand on by a thread the cost of life has hit us very hard and the fact that the children went cinema bowling lazer tag and activities at the center made everything so much special I wouldn’t have been able to afford taking my 4 plus my extra nephews all to do these activities plus fed everyone, Dfntly very greatful for your dedication, love and support…thank you for helping keep these young boys off the streets you’ve saved lives and don’t even know it What I would like to see in the long run is more talks about making right decisions and expressing feelings or maybe even role play like if you choose this type of decision these are the consequences the children love acting so drama sessions would be very nice don’t know just a thought o know everything is very expensive but with the little to less funding that was provided you have all done and amazing job… my niece jocy is very serious like she is always angry and mad at the world I see when she’s back from the club she’s smiling a lot more and on Saturdays she always say yes nearly monday 🤭🤭pls continue to keep me updated on any events you have coming up from kevims, jaydan and indyas mum can’t wait to be able to send my 4 yr old too.

Divine Purpose the name itself was so encouraging and you can almost see the values that they stand for and what they desire to accomplish for young people.

I signed my 3 children up for the Divine purpose dance classes and they absolutely loved it and it was right up the children’s street as they love dance, and it was affordable for me to do all three kids as that has been one of the really sad things, being able to afford it for 3 children.

It’s a shame Covid messed that up as it was really fun the girls really loved it.

The idea of also having a music 🎶 studio to create and learn music for my daughter was so inviting, as my daughter is talented  with a great voice and I haven’t been able to afford vocal lessons and it would be great to give her some kind of exposure to that world especially now that she is young, so she can develop those skills. So the fact that Divine purpose was offering this was so essential and a great offering within our community. We also were participants of the XFactor Trip earlier in the summer and it was really fun the children really loved being in a coach with peers their age group and not within a school environment. Also being able to take the children to do one thing that summer was really great as it normally doing that would have cost me way too much that I wouldn’t be able to afford to and it was such a great and fun day.
